Snowledge is an app focused on snow sport metric tracking and mountain resort engagement. They were looking for a full brand refresh, which would give new life to both the resort administrator experience and the mobile app. Additionally, they wanted to promote social engagement and reward frequent tracking on the mountain.
I was the lead designer for both UX and UI on this project.
Existing brand expression was outdated, unrefined, and just plain hard to look at
Resort Management Platform was oversaturated with options, unintuitive, and overwhelming
Resorts can only post photos to the feed, not providing much reason to use the app over established channels for user outreach
Pivot brand expression to an updated, modern, and scalable system
Reorganize and simplify Resort Management Platform
Create four new post types to differentiate from Instagram
To get a good understanding of what resort promoters want to display and to test the nitty gritty input elements in our new brand design system, we started with the Resort Management Platform.

Our essential brand positioning and content strategy update is poised to revolutionize Snowledge's user experience and foster a vibrant community on the slopes by empowering users to share their mountain days, compete against each other for a spot on the leaderboard, and explore nearby resorts before even loading up the car. These updates are anticipated to not only boost user engagement but also Snowledge's position as an up-and-coming tool for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts, providing a seamless blend of community, competition, and user-centric design.
